Pretty good opening weekend!  We saw another so called "they're ready" team get rolled by the Crimson Machine.  The rivals Ohio State and Michigan both cashed in on second half turnovers to win.  Plus, Oklahoma's and Penn State both hung 50 or more up on the scoreboard in week 1.  Here's this weeks best 10!

1. Alabama – RTR!  Come on now how many of yall really thought at FSU was going to beat Bama?  Ok now how many of yall had hoped that FSU could beat Alabama?  Oh I can hear it now “but if the special teams and the defense”  Yup people listen that’s the way BAMA wins.  Oh well we know one team already in the playoffs.  But didn’t we know that already?  Last week beat Florida State 24-7 / this week vs Fresno State.

2. Ohio State- the number one stat in football led the Buckeyes down the stretch in a tight tilt.  Down 21-20 in the third the Buckeyes scored 4 straight unanswered TD's to rout the Hoosiers.  Three of those four scores came off turnovers!  Man the Horseshoe in Columbus will be rocking Saturday night.  Wonder who will dot the I this weekend? Last week beat Indiana 49-21 / this week vs Oklahoma

3. Penn State – RB Saquon Barkley started 2017 with a bang racking up 226 yards of offense and 2 TDs.  The Lions D was salty allowing 158 yards and 0 points which ain't too bad!  Once one of the greatest games each year now we get last the Panthers and Lions every now and then.  What a sad/wonderful thing TV has done to CFB.  Last week beat Akron 52-0 / this week vs Pitt.

4. Clemson – Dabo and the Tigers needed a breather to open the season because the next two weeks are brutal at Auburn and Louisville.  Win those 2 and Clemson will be in full legit title defender mode!  Last week beat Kent State / this week @ Auburn.

5. Florida State - Like so many other so called contenders the Noles fell prey to the Tide via turnovers and special teams play.  You know Jimbo is saying to his team "guys if we wouldn't have turned the ball over and gave up so much on special teams we were right there."  On the other side Nick Saban is telling his team our focus is only on FSU.  Fresno State.  Too many teams let a loss to the Tide linger.  Will the Noles?  Last week lost to Alabama 7-24/ this week vs UL Monroe.

6. Michigan – The Wolverines had a big advantage in time of possession, and UM ran near as many run plays (49} as the Gators had offensive plays (53).  Plus, turnovers aided Michigan in their come from behind win over Florida.  Last week beat Florida / this week vs Cincinnati.

7. Oklahoma – The WB era began (without Bob) with a 56-7 win over UTEP.  The best dancing QB in all of football went off as Baker Mayfield was 19-of-20 for 329 yards and 3 scores.  Folks it’s hard to throw against air and complete 19 of 20!  WR Mark Andrews was gaining at a high average hauling in seven grabs for 134 yards.  Now a huge road game at the Horseshoe in Columbus will tell us early on if the Sooners look to be in the playoff hunt.  Last week beat UTEP 56-7 / this week @ Ohio State.

8. USC - the Trojans did not look that sharp in a narrow win over Western Michigan.  Sam I am Darnold threw for 289 yards but was picked off twice.  Oh well, the Heisman is not given out in September.  Last week beat Western Michigan 49-31 / this week vs Stanford.

9.  Oklahoma State – The three headed offensive monster of Rudolph, Hill and Washington put up video game like numbers for the Cowboys offense.  QB Mason R was 20-of-24 303 yards and 3 TD's.  Hill rushed for 132 and Washington hauled in 145 yards.  Last week beat Tulsa 59-24 / this week @ South Alabama

10. (Tie) - Washington – QB Jake Browning had a nice day at the office going 17-of-30 for 284 yards and 2 TD’s in a win over Rutgers.  Now the Huskies look to get to 2-0 taking on Montana.  Last week beat Rutgers /this week vs Montana.

10. (Tie) -Wisconsin – The Badgers looked pretty salty putting up 59 in their win over Utah State.  QB Alex Hornibrook threw for 244 yards and 3TD’s and his offensive mates RB’s John Taylor 87 yards 1TD and Bradrick Shaw 84 yards and a score with WR Troy Fumagalli hauling in a score lead me to believe that the Badgers will put up more points this season.  Now the Badgers will welcome into the House of Pain little Lane K and his Florida Atlantic club.  Camp Randall will welcome in Lane the proper way!  Last week beat Utah State 59-10 / this week vs FAU.
