After highs near 80 today, big changes are coming to the weather for Southeast Louisiana.  By Christmas morning, both sides of the lake will see temps in the 30s.

"Another foggy start to the day with visibilities less than 1/4 mile for many areas," WWL-TV Meteorologist Dave Nussbaum said about your Friday morning.  "Once the fog dissipates, we will have some warmer weather today with mostly cloudy skies.  A few showers are also possible."

Things start to shift as we get closer to Christmas.

"A cold front will move into the area on Saturday.  This will spread showers and storms over us starting in the morning, and they will linger into the early afternoon as the front stalls."

Nussbaum says tomorrow's highs will be around 70.

"A second cold front will move through on Sunday morning, Christmas Eve," he explains. "It will bring us MUCH COOLER temperatures."

Highs on Sunday will be around 60 early in the day with temperatures falling into the lower 50s by the afternoon.

"Sunday night will be clear and cold with patchy frost if the winds die down."

Nussbaum says Christmas Day, Monday, starts with lows in the lower 30s north and upper 30s south.

"We will have some fantastic and chilly weather for Christmas!  The morning will start out in the 30s and we will only warm into the lower 50s by the afternoon with sunny skies."
