The New Orleans Saints are in the playoffs for the first time since January, 2014. And if that sounds like forever ago, this will be their first home playoff game since January 7, 2012.

The Saints began selling playoff tickets to season ticket holders when it became apparent the team was in the driver's seat for the NFC South.

"They were also given an opportunity to buy extra seats," said Saints and Pelicans Senior Vice President of Sales Mike Stanfield. He said season ticket holders should have received their tickets already, for this Sunday's Wild Card-round game versus the Carolina Panthers, and for the NFC Championship Game, if the Saints and the lower-seeded Atlanta Falcons manage to win their respective playoff games in the coming weeks.

Stanfield said fans are not going to find much in the way of tickets at the box office. That means the secondary market will be big, and Stanfield wants fans to be careful.

"They need to buy'em from a reliable source," he cautioned, and he warned sellers and anyone else with tickets not to post pictures online of the tickets showing their bar codes.

"That bar code is your entry into the Dome," said Stanfield. "If that bar code is taken by someone else, your ticket will be no good."

Stanfield says fans may also get a chance at tickets if  the Carolina Panthers don't sell all of their allotment.

"They do get 500 tickets mandated by the NFL," Stanfield explained. "We would certainly notify everyone if we do have those."

The Saints' official online re-seller, Ticketmaster's NFL Ticket Exchange, shows seats available in almost every section, for less than a hundred buck to thousands of dollars.

The Saints take on the Panthers Sunday at 3:40 p.m.
