NOPD cop's weapon stolen in Jefferson Parish

A New Orleans cop had his weapon stolen in Jefferson Parish, Sunday afternoon. 

The burglary happened just before 3 p.m. in the 3900 block of North I-10 Service Road in Metairie.

The police officer's personal vehicle's window was shattered, and the burglar was then able to access the trunk where the officer's police duty belt which contained a weapon, taser, baton, handcuffs, radio, flashlight and two loaded magazines were stolen, according to JPSO Sheriff, Newell Normand.
