Cops looking for persons of interest in Warehouse District shooting

Cops are looking for a pair of men caught on video near the scene of a shooting in New Orleans Warehouse District.

"The NOPD is seeking to speak with two persons of interest in connection with an aggravated battery by shooting that occurred today (February 17, 2018) near the intersection of St. Joseph and Magazine streets," police said in a news release.

Investigators became aware of the shooting when a victim showed up at the ER.

"At about 3:20 p.m., a subject arrived via private conveyance at an area hospital with apparent gunshot wounds. Upon further investigation, Eighth District detectives determined that the victim was involved in an aggravated battery by shooting near the intersection of St. Joseph and Magazine streets." 

They are hoping a pair of men seen near the crime can help.

"The pictured unknown black male subjects were observed near the location when the shooting occurred. The two subjects are not wanted in connection with this incident, but detectives wish to interview them and believe they may have important information regarding the incident."

Police also ask others with information to come forward. 

"Anyone with information regarding the identities and/or location of the two pictured persons of interest is asked to contact Eighth District detectives at 504-658-6080.
