WWL-TV meteorologist Chris Franklin says we may see some scattered showers through Saturday evening, but we appear to be clearing out through the afternoon.

Rain chances should continue to decrease through late Saturday afternoon and evening.

Some heavy showers are still a possibility, but they, too, should diminish through the remainder of the day.

It's good news for today's parades, especially Bacchus this evening on the Uptown route and Napoleon, Athena and Pandora in Metairie.

After mid 70s Saturday afternoon, temperatures will begin to fall tonight around 8 or 9 p.m. and overnight.

A cold front moving into the area will bring mid 60s for Lundi Gras.

Cooler air will begin retreating for Fat Tuesday, but highs only in the low 70s. Rain chances

Rain chances Monday drop to 20% and only a 10% chance for Mardi Gras showers.
