So now that the regular season is over for the LSU Tigers, what bowl game will they play in? Jerry Palm does bowl projections for CBS Sports and he expects the Tigers will be in Florida on New Year's Day.

"I currently have them in the Outback Bowl, they were in the Citrus Bowl last year, so I think it's unlikely they'll end up there again," Palm said.

The Outback Bowl is in Tampa on New Year's Day. One day before the Outback Bowl, the Saints visit the Bucs in Tampa.

Palm says if LSU goes to the Outback Bowl, they'll play a team from the Big 10.

"Michigan, Michigan State are the most likely teams for the game, but it will also depend how many Big 10 teams end up in the committee games," Palm said.

The committee games are considered the major bowl games that the College Football Playoff committee selects.

The bowl season in Louisiana begins with the R-and-L Carriers New Orleans Bowl on December 16th. Palm has La Tech versus Troy in that game. He has Southern Miss against Florida State in the Independence Bowl on December 27th. And the Sugar Bowl is a semifinal contest in the College Football Playoff. Palm says the number one seed will likely be in New Orleans.

"If number one is say Clemson or Oklahoma, they'll probably be in the Sugar Bowl," Palm said.
