Internet Cat Video Festival June 28
New Orleans Museum of Art

 Join SpayMart and Art for Cats Sake in New Orleans City Park on Saturday, June 28th from 11am to 6pm for the 1st Internet Cat Video Festival in New Orleans!  The festival features three showingsof cat videos compiled by Walker Art Center.   Share the fun of viewing laugh-out loud cat videos including Grumpy Cat,  Henri, Lil Bub, Hamilton the Hipster and Maru with fellow cat aficionados.    Tickets are on sale now for video screenings at 11am, 1pm and 4pm (tickets are $12).   All showings will be in the theatre at the New Orleans Museum of Art. The festival continues outside in New Orleans City Park in front of the Sculpture Garden and across from Big Lake.   No admission charge to the outside festival which will include costume contests, photo contests, beautiful feline art, jewelry, face painting and a photo booth area.  Great food and drinks from Katie's Restaurant!   Enjoy music by Wes Raymond and the Soul Factory.

Cooking demonstrations from some of New Orleans best chefs - Diana Chauvin of La Thai with Molly Kimball and Tom Fitzmorris. Plus entertainment throughout the day performances by Swingaroux, The Topcats, Mike Weldon, The WW2 Museum, and Zumba from Elmwood Fitness. Plus meet some of your favorite WWL personalities - Dan Gill, Scoot, Paul LaGrange, Bobby Hebert and Doug Sunseri will all be there!

The French American Chamber of Commerce, Gulf Coast Chapter presents the 14th annual festival, which spotlights cuisines of Provence with food, desserts, wines, beer and other spirits as well as a silent auction. The French American Chamber of Commerce - Gulf Coast is a nonprofit organization based in New Orleans that strives to promote trade and investment between France and Louisiana, Mississippi and southern Alabama.

Patriotic Music Fest June 29

The 14th annual Patriotic Music Fest takes place this Sunday, June 29, starting at 3 PM.  The program features rousing music, including marches  by John Philip Sousa and the 1812 Overture played by the Marine Band, in addition to the exciting brass of the Uptown Jazz Orchestra with Delfeayo Marsalis, and specially featuring ex-marine and great jazz pianist Ellis Marsalis, and with  organist Albinas Prizgintas, who will join with the Marine Band on several numbers.  Reception follows in the Parish House.

5:30 to 9:00pm with food concessions from 5:30 pm – 7:30 pm. A fireworks show plus music by the Redemption Family Band, concert guests "Amanda Shaw and the Cute Guys," antique car displays, inflatables and games for the kids, snowballs, popcorn, cotton candy and free food from the great restaurants of Mandeville.
