Wednesday at the Square concerts kick off today

It's that time of year again! The "Wednesday at the Square" concert series begins today. The series is sponsored by the Young Leadership Council and the New Orleans Saints.

The free events, held weekly on Wednesdays in Lafayette Square in downtown New Orleans, are a popular happy-hour destination for downtown office workers, boasting an impressive lineup of local musicians, plus food and drink for sale to benefit the YLC.

Those wishing to purchase advance tickets for food and drink can do so on the website and skip the lines. Local artisans also set up shop to sell their wares in the Artist Village by the Camp Street entrance.

Music begins at 5pm and continues to 8pm, rain or shine.
