Five Saints players were sidelined today during the first practice of the week for the Cowboys game.
Jimmy Graham, Malcolm Jenkins, Jahri Evans, Cam Jordan and David Hawthorne sat out with injuries.
There was some encouraging news. Marques Colston returned to practice on a limited basis after missing the last game, and Darren Sproles was able to fully take part in practice after leaving last Sunday's game with a concussion.
WWL Saints Sideline reporter Kristian Garic also reports that the Saints have also placed linebacker Jonathan Vilma on injured reserve. He is done for the season and may never play in a Saints uniform again.

Protection was an issue last season for the New Orleans Saints offensive line. After Terron Armstead got his first start in week 16 against the Panthers, I thought the big guys up front played much better down the stretch, creating running lanes for the...

Yeah, yeah, general managers are never in the running for Most Valuable Player in the NFL, and Saints GM Mickey Loomis isn't a player in the traditional sense. He doesn't block, he doesn't tackle, he doesn't catch or throw touchdowns....
