Video: Man robs Algiers gas station at gunpoint

The NOPD is asking for the public's help in identifying a suspect who robbed an Algiers Gas Station at gunpoint on Sunday. (Scroll down to view video of the incident.)

Investigators say it happened on Sunday at about 12:15 at the Shell gas station in the 3000 block of Gen. DeGaulle. The video shows a man walking into the store with a gun, pointing it at the cashier, and demanding money.

Police say once the cashier complied, the man ran out the store with an undetermined amount on cash and fled in a dark colored 4 door sedan possibly a Nissan Altima or similar type car. Cops say the vehicle had a spare tire on the rear passengers said and an unknown sign in the rear window of the car.
