We have been finding a lot of people who are tired today.
"I am so sleepy," a woman told us in downtown New Orleans.
"I woke up this morning, and it was still dark," one man said. "I was ready to go back to sleep."
Another woman said she almost didn't make it to work today.
"'Do I have a sick day available?'" she told us she thought as she struggled to get out of bed. "But I'm here."
Those are the exact kinds of stories that inspired Boston University professor William Anthony and his wife Camille to name today as National Napping Day.
"I'm going to have to take advantage of that... I could use a nap," a man said.
"I feel like taking a nap right now!" one woman exclaimed.
Several people said, however, the boss won't play along. Others explained they had too much to do, and they couldn't afford to take a nap.
