Tigers win first game of NCAA action

A huge crowd turned out for LSU's victory over Southern at the NCAA regional competition at Alex Box Stadium today.

After the Jaguars jumped out to a 2-0 lead in the first inning, the Tigers took a while to get into a groove.

The tigers erupted for seven runs in the bottom of the 7th inning.

When it was all over, the crowd of 8,641 watched the Tigers score a decisive 10-2 victory over Southern.

The Tigers will next play the winner of Baylor and Minnesota Saturday at 6 P.M. on WWL AM and FM.
