Thomas staying with the Saints

Pierre Thomas has agreed to a two year contract extension with the New Orleans Saints.

The running back's agent made the announcement on Twitter.  The Saints later confirmed the new deal.

WWL Saints Sideline Reporter Kristian Garic says, "GM Mickey Loomis continues his masterful manipulation of the salary cap, freeing up more money for the team."

Thomas arrived in New Orleans as undrafted rookie free agent in 2007, and has been the Saints most consistent running back.
