The Who Dat Nation on the Battle in Seattle II

It's the Battle in Seattle, Part II! How do citizens of the Who Dat Nation think the sequel will go? A lot of them are pretty confident -- these Who Dats say the game last month was an aberration, a performance they don't expect this Saints team to repeat.

"I think that's what's going to be the key, that...they lost there before pretty handily, and I think they're going to, you know, avenge that loss," one fan told us this morning.

"I believe so," said another. "I think they're going to pull it off."

But it won't be easy.  Not only is Seattle a tough place to play -- the Seahawks have only one loss at home in the last two seasons -- but in this round of the playoffs, the home team has won it about 73 percent of the time, going back to 1990.

"I am worried about that," a cautiously optimistic fan told WWL First News.  "But we've got maybe a 60/40 chance, I would think."

Then there's the doom and gloom crowd:

"I gave up on the Saints, I really, I gave up on'em.  A long time back," said a man who apparently hasn't heard any sports news since 1980.

Saints fans on the Battle in Seattle, Part II:

The Saints are about an eight-point underdog, depending on who's taking the bet, in this game. WWL's coverage begins at 9:00 a.m. Saturday.  The game kicks off in Seattle at 3:35 p.m.

Deke: CFB Top Six, week thirteen
OK the Devils loss to the Beavers could keep the Mississippi State Bulldogs within the top four. To me, they still belong. Alabama is coasting, Florida State just wins, baby, and there is a good battle in the Lone Star State. What about Ohio State? ...

Deke: What does LSU have to play for now?
OK I know that it has been a season of up and downs to say the least for LSU Tigers fans. Just a little over a month ago the Tigers looked doom and gloom, giving up nearly 600 yards and 38 points per game versus their first two SEC foes in Mississippi...

Kristian: Vaccaro says "Lay off Rob Ryan"

Kristian: Poor play on 3rd down is costing the Saints
Third down: It's the get-off-the-field down for defenses, and often a good indication as to if a team is playing well. The Saints haven't played well on that down and haven't gotten off the field. "We have to fix this so it can't just be 'oh we...
