Take two on the CCC toll vote

The special election on the re-vote to extend tolls on the Crescent City Connection is set for May 4 and it appears both sides are gearing up for a what could be a divisive campaign. This time around the election circumstances are quite different.  Political analyst Clancy DuBos says in the previous vote there was a Presidential race on the ballot.

''It's a special election, so the turnouts going to be very low,'' said DuBos.

Listen to Clancy Dubos:

DuBos expects both sides to mount vigorous campaigns but he says there's been a lot of negative publicity against the tolls since the first vote for the extension.

''The pro toll factions have an uphill battle, it was difficult to do it last time with a maximum turnout, it's going to be more difficult now.''

Once again the measure to extend the tolls on the heavily traveled bridge will be for voters only in Orleans, Jefferson and Plaquemines Parishes.
