Superdome meets massive wireless demand

Authorities at the Superdome have released a new report on the technology demand by fans at the Super Bowl.

It has officials bragging about the dome's infrastructure.

"They system worked flawlessly," Dome General Manager Alan Freeman announced.  "An approximately 99 percent success rate."

He shared a series of numbers showing just how much people used their phones on Super Bowl Sunday at the Superdome.

"200,000 cell phone calls, 500,000 text massages... and then this gets really crazy... 10,000,000 web pages accessed and 24,000,000 Tweets in one day," Freeman said.

Doug Thornton with the Superdome management team added, "Other stadiums their system simply wouldn't be able to handle that.  You simply wouldn't be able to make that cell phone call or push out that picture."

"We have the biggest and baddest," he said of the wireless system.
