Mid-afternoon storms left about 6,000 customers without power across the Metro New Orleans area, primarily on the Westbank of Jefferson Parish.
Entergy's outage website showed that approximately 5,800 customers on the Jefferson Westbank lost power at the height of the outage, along with a couple of hundred Algiers customers.
An Entergy spokeswoman says they expect to have power restored to all customers by 10:00 p.m.
