Steve: Bad news keeps a coming for Hornets

The Hornets have more issues to address now.

Forward Carl Landry went down in the third quarter of Saturday night's loss to the Pistons.  It came during a collision with Detroit's Jason Maxiell.  Landry did not return to the game.

Landry suffered a 2nd degree MCL sprain in his left knee and will be out 3-4 weeks.

To make matters even worse for the 4-20 Hornets, center Jason Smith suffered a concussion in the fourth quarter of the game and will not play tonight.

Added to the list of the walking wounded for New Orleans is guard Jarrett Jack.  He has missed the last two games with a sore left knee and is questionable for today's game against Sacramento.

The team has signed Lance Thomas to a 10 day contract.  The 23 year old forward out of Duke University was waived bu the Hornets at the end of December.  He appeared in two of the first three games this year.

Meanwhile, in an odd twist, forward / center Chris Kaman is back on the roster for now.  The Hornets had diactivated him while looking for a partner to trade him to last week.  He will suit up for tonight's game.
