Get ready for NCIS New Orleans. The spinoff of one of TV's top shows will reportedly star Scott Bakula in the Crescent City. The Hollywood Reporter says it will feature cases set across the Gulf Coast from the Florida Panhandle through Alabama, Mississippi, Louisiana and much of Texas.
The article says, "Bakula will play NCIS Special Agent Pride, who embodies New Orleans. He's driven by the need to do what's right and does it all with warmth, passion, strength and humor."
Meanwhile, Hollywood South is gearing up for a spring and summer of big name sequels.
The Louisiana Office of Economic Development lists the following follow ups to successfully blockbusters:
Paramount feature film Terminator 5 starring Arnold Schwarzenegger and Emilia Clarke will shoot April 21st to August 1st in New Orleans.
Ebb Tide aka Jurassic Park 4
Universal feature film Jurassic Park 4 starring Bryce Dallas Howard, Chris Pratt, and Jake Johnson will shoot June 2nd for 11 weeks in New Orleans.
Fox feature film Fantastic Four starring Michael B. Jordan will begin shooting March 24th in Baton Rouge.
Bad Ass 3
The independent feature film Bad Ass 3 starring Danny Trejo and Danny Glover will shoot February 3rd through March 1st in Baton Rouge.
Other films shooting in Hollywood South:
Warner Bros. feature film Midnight Special starring Kirsten Dunst and Michael Shannon will shoot January 20th for 40 days in New Orleans.
Sycamore Pictures feature film Mississippi Grind starring Ryan Reynolds and Sienna Miller will shoot January 29th- March 6th in New Orleans.
Warner Bros. feature film Get Hard starring Will Ferrell and Kevin Hart will shoot March 17th in New Orleans.
