Saints announce Graham as new kicker, make change at LT

New Orleans Saints head coach Sean Payton today confirmed kicker Shayne Graham will handle field goal and extra point duties in the wake of K Garrett Hartley's release.  The coach also announced a change at left tackle for the Carolina game: Terron Armstead will get the start in place of Charles Brown.  Brown struggled in St. Louis and was benched in the second half.

The Saints announced Hartley's release Tuesday.  Hartley had some struggles earlier in the season, and at one point earlier this season, the Saints brought in kickers to try out for the position.

Graham has a career average of 85 percent. In his most recent complete season, with Houston in 2012, Graham played in all 16 games and went 31 for 38 (81.6 percent).

Coach Payton also announced they cut defensive back Chris Carr. The Saints signed safety Eric Frampton.
