SEC Rankings: 4 of the top 5 teams change spots

We saw a shakeup this week in the top five in the SEC football team rankings.  The only place that stayed the same was the top spot.  Here's how I see the Southeaster Conference team stacking up:

1. Alabama 9-0 (1)
This Week: Texas A&M
Last Week: Beat LSU 21-17
Texas A&M will be good preparation for when the Crimson Tide faces Oregon in the BCS National Championship game.

2. Georgia 8-2 (3)
This Week: at Auburn
Last Week: Beat Ole Miss 37-10
Georgia is 18-3 since the Bulldogs started last season 0-2.

3. Florida 8-1 (4)
This Week: Louisiana-Lafayette
Last Week: Beat Missouri 14-7
The LSU Tigers need Florida to lose to have a chance at playing in the Sugar Bowl.

4. LSU 7-1 (2)
This Week: Mississippi State
Last Week: Lost to Alabama 21-17
LSU hasn't lost back-to-back games in Tiger Stadium since 2001. Rex Grossman and the Gators beat the Tigers 44-15 and Eli Manning and Ole Miss defeated LSU 35-24.

5. Texas A&M 7-2 (7)
This Week: at Alabama
Last Week: Beat Mississippi State 38-13
Aggies lead the SEC in total offense, while the Crimson Tide lead the league in the SEC in total defense. I can't wait for this match-up.

6. South Carolina 7-2 (6)
This Week: Arkansas
Last Week: Bye
The injured Marcus Lattimore will be at the game and have his named unveiled on the inside of the stadium. Lattimore is South Carolina's all-time leader with 41 touchdowns.

7. Mississippi State 7-2 (5)
This Week: at LSU
Last Week: Lost to Texas A&M 38-13
If Mississippi State wins on Saturday, it will only be 15th time the Bulldogs have compiled eight wins in a season. State has been playing football for 112 yards.

8. Ole Miss 5-4 (8)
This Week: Vanderbilt
Last Week: Lost to Georgia 37-10
A victory will make the Rebels bowl eligible for the first time since 2009.

9. Vanderbilt 5-4 (9)
This Week: at Ole Miss
Last Week: Beat Kentucky 40-0
The Commodores have beaten their last two opponents by a combined score of 89-7.

10. Arkansas 4-5 (11)
This Week: at South Carolina
Last Week: Beat Tulsa 19-15
Can Razorbacks become bowl eligible? They have the Gamecocks, Mississippi State and LSU remaining on the schedule. I don't see it happening.

11. Tennessee 4-5 (12)
This Week: Missouri
Last Week: Beat Troy 55-48
Tennessee's opponents in the SEC have a combined record of 39-and-6.

12. Missouri 4-5 (10)
This Week: at Tennessee
Last Week: Lost to Florida 14-7
Missouri needs two wins to qualify for a bowl game. They have Tennessee, Syracuse and Texas A&M left on the schedule.

13. Auburn 2-7 (14)
This Week: Georgia
Last Week: Beat New Mexico State 42-7
The Georgia-Auburn series is the 7th most played rivalry in FBS history. The Tigers lead the series 54-53-8.

14. Kentucky 1-9 (13)
This Week: Bye
Last Week: Lost to Vanderbilt 40-0
Joker Phillips is the ninth straight coach to leave Lexington with a losing record.
