Parades and Mardi Gras parties this weekend

There may not be any Mardi Gras parades in New Orleans this weekend because of the Super Bowl, but the fun goes ahead full force in the surrounding communities. 

Family Gras kicks off tonight in Metairie. The Friday headliners include Creedence Clearwater Revisited and Soul Asylum.

Tomorrow night's big acts are Blues traveller and Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons. 

There are also parades this evening in Metaire and Mandeville. Tomorrow they roll on the Westbank, in St. Bernard, Slidell, Convington and Metiaire.
