New Orleans and Louisiana win high marks in business report



Local leaders are celebrating more national publicity for economic development efforts in New Orleans and all of Louisiana. 

Business Facilities Magazine is the latest to sing the state's accolades.

"For the first time ever, Louisiana has been ranked #1 for Best Business Climate in the USA," celebrated GNO Inc. President and CEO Michael Hecht. "Furthermore, Greater New Orleans and the Baton Rouge Area (together the 'Southeast Super Region') were ranked in the Top 10 for Economic Growth Potential in the USA."

Editor in Chief Jack Rogers said, "When we scrutinized all of the essential elements for a successful economic development program in today's highly competitive market - including workforce training, incentives, a business-friendly tax and regulatory structure, and a highly diverse, well-conceived growth strategy - we consistently found an aggressive standard for excellence in Louisiana."
