Sentencing for convicted former New Orleans Mayor Ray Nagin has been delayed seven days. The former mayor is now set to learn his fate for taking bribes and kickback on July 9. U.S. District Judge Ginger Berrigan said she had a scheduling conflict preventing the sentencing hearing from taking place July 2. It's the second time Nagin's sentencing has been delayed. The first delay came at the request of Nagin and his attorneys, so they would have more time to study the pre-sentencing report. A federal jury in February convicted Nagin of taking cash and gifts from city contractors. He faces decades in prison.
