More thunderstorms possible overnight

After thunderstorms dropped hail and knocked out power to thousand on both sides of the lake this afternoon, forecasters say another wave of showers and storms could be on the way tonight.

"We could see more strong storms and showers arriving around midnight," according to WWL-TV meteorologist Derek Kevra.

He says we are not expecting another round of hail or street flooding with the next band of incoming showers and storms.

Strong storms bringing heavy lightning knocked out power to about 5,000 Entergy customers scattered across the Metro area Thursday afternoon.
