Nortshore cops have found the body of a missing Alabama woman.
Officials says the St. Tammany Parish Sheriff's Office discovered the dead woman during a foot search for her near Madisonville.
Melinda Denny had not been seen since her boyfriend held cops at bay during a standoff Saturday, in which he held a gun to his head.
Police have been search for the 26-year-old girlfriend since.
Jonathan Nall is in jail charged with terrorizing and resisting arrest, and officials say he is a suspect in Denny's death.
''Information we received from Nall, from talking to him, led us to believe foul play was involved," said St. Tammany Parish Sheriff Jack Strain. "Evidence that was recovered from the automobile and comments he made led us to intensify the search.''
No word yet on the cause of death. Sheriff Jack Strain says they expect to charge Nall with murder.
"Ultimately, we believe if all of that holds true he, will be charged with the homicide,'' said Strain.
