Miles gives no hints on who is winning QB competition
We're less than two weeks away from LSU's kicking the season off against Wisconsin and Coach Les Miles has provided very little information on who is leading the battle for the starting quarterback.
Miles says Anthony Jennings and Brandon Harris are improving and he likes how they are competing.
"I think both guys have really approached it with a real strength," Miles said. "I think they are after improvement and execution. I like how they are competing. They are competing as a team, each guy is rooting for each other, I like how they are handling it."
The Tigers held a scrimmage on Saturday and LSU did not provide any individual statistics on the quarterbacks. Miles did say that the defense made it difficult for the offense to move the ball. The mad hatter highlighted some standout individual performances.
"Danielle Hunter's nine tackles, four for a loss, kinda led the day. Two backers that were really, really good, were both DJ Welter and Kendell Beckwith. Both guys stepped up and played take you on football. Rashard Robinson is playing veteran, doing things he's capable of doing."
Miles says LSU returns to practice on Monday, they'll begin focusing on their first game against Wisconsin.
