Miles: "It's my fault. It's my mistake"

LSU head football Coach Les Miles today accepted full blame for the meltdown in Mississippi.

"It's my fault. It will be fixed. Its my responsibility," Miles said.

Miles said it was his mismanagement which led to the 2 point loss.

"I mismanaged the back end of the Ole Miss Game. It's my responsibility. I'm the head coach," Miles added. "I let the clock get away from me. It's my fault. It's may mistake."

Listen to Mile explain what happened on the final sequence of the game:

Miles says the problems will be fixed.

The coach insisted there was not enough time to get the kicking team in place, saying it takes 12 seconds to get set up for a field goal. He also said that his coaching staff told him they thought there were 12 Ole Miss players on the field and said if they could have gotten a snap off, they would have had an untimed down on a defensive penalty. It turned out there were not 12 players on the field and the clock expired before the snap amid the confusion anyway.

Miles also said video apparently showing him signaling for a spike to stop the clock was actually him trying to indicate that the ball was down on the previous play before wide receive Terrance Tolliver let it get away from him.

Miles answered questions for about half an hour and said he now must turn his attention to the final game of the regular season and start preparing for Arkansas.

"This is a difficult time... I've gone through the pain of this... but I'm done with Ole Miss... I've got to turn my attention to Arkansas."
