Metairie man accused of raping daughters, wife accused of knowing and not reporting
Chris Miller Reporting
Jefferson Parish Sheriff's officials say a 32-year-old Metairie man is facing accusation of raping his two daughters, ages 11 and 12, over a period of years. The suspect's 31-year-old wife also faces charges.
According to authorities, the man's 11-year-old daughter claimed her father began forcing himself on her when she was six, and was also abusing her older sister. Investigators say the mother told them she learned a year ago about the assaults, but instead of alerting authorities, she told her daughters to say "no" the next time their father asked for sex.
Sheriff's deputies booked the father into the parish jail on two counts of aggravated rape. The mother was booked on two counts of accessory after the fact and two counts of cruelty to a juvenile.
