The LSU Baseball team had some tense moments Thursday night after a mechanical problem with the plane the team was taking to Texas. "A little scary," Mainieri said in a text message to the student newspaper the Reveille. "We had a problem with the flaps and had to return to Baton Rouge." Officials say the problem occurred shortly after takeoff and the plane had to land at a faster speed than pilots prefer, but no one was injured. The team was scheduled to fly to College Station and practice in Texas for the weekend series with Texas A&M. Instead they returned to the LSU campus to practice and decided to take a later flight.
