LSU beats Arkansas with backup QB

LSU beat Arkansas with final minute drama from an unexpected hero.

Tiger QB Anthony Jennings came in for injured starter Zach Mettenberger.

With time running out, he lead LSU on a 99 yard TD drive.

It included the freshman running for yardage, showing mobility in the pocket and throwing the winning TD pass.

The game winner was a 49-yards toss from Jennings to Travin Dural with 1:15 on the clock .

LSU cornerback Dwayne Thomas sealed the deal by sacking Arkansas QB Brandon Allen, forcing a fumbled.  Tiger defensive end Jermauria Rasco jumped on the ball, securing the victory.

LSU receiver Jarvis Landry had a big day with eight catches for 113 yards.

Tiger running back carried the ball 20 times for 145 yards and a TD.  Running back Terrence had 2 scores with 7 carries for 58 yards.

Mettenberger, a senior playing his last game at Tiger Stadium, injured his knee in the 4th quarter and could not return.

LSU wins 31 - 27 over Arkansas.
