LSU #6 in first BCS poll, Aggies matchup set for 11 a.m.

Following a 23-21 win over South Carolina, the LSU football team debuted at No. 6 in first offical BCS poll on Sunday.

The Bayou Bengals were also sixth-ranked in the AP Top 25 and the USA Today Coaches' Poll released Sunday.  

Many LSU fans were taken aback by the news that LSU's Oct. 20 football game at Texas A&M will kick off at 11 a.m.  The 11 a.m. start is LSU's earliest on the road since facing Tulane at 11 a.m. in 2007.

LSU played host to Appalachian State at 10 a.m. in Tiger Stadium in 2008 in a game that was moved up in preparation for Hurricane Gustav.
