Kristian: Hot Cowboys will beat Saints in a nail biter

Spoiler?:

The 6 and 8 Saints have a chance to damage the playoff hopes of the Dallas Cowboys Sunday in Big D.  Dallas is 8 and 6 and in a three way tie atop the NFC east with the Giants and the Redskins.

"We worry more about ourselves and trying to get a win," Saints Quarterback Drew Brees told me.

That might be true, but knocking the Cowboys out would certainly provide Saints fans a little sugar to an otherwise sour season.  The players and coaches insist they're intent on finishing the season strong and not "mailing it in."

The Injury report:

Saints FB Jed Collins is the only player to sit out of practice on Thursday.  Offensive lineman Zach Strief, running back Pierre Thomas, and running back Chris Ivory were limited.  Coach Joe Vitt says they're making progress with the injured guys, and he feels good about several of them having a chance to play this week.

My take:

You could make the argument Dallas is catching fire at the right time, winning 5 of their last 6 games and making a push at the playoffs.  The Saints won't pack it in, they're too proud.  They'll play hard against Dallas, but I don't think it will be enough.  Tony Romo might be the hottest passer in the NFL right now.  The pressure is on in Big D for the Cowboys to make a post-season run.
Dallas wins this one at home against a valiant effort from the Saints...  Cowboys 31 - Saints 30.

Your no Glaudi or Buddy D.
Glaudi and Buddy D. stood up to owners, management, and the team when we needed them to. You, however, wanted Saints fans to move on, when it is obvious our team has been wronged. Your an NFL clone pushing their agenda. Since you can not get behind what the fans want covered, why don't you get a job at the NFL network as one of their yellow journalist?

Please move
to a city with a football team that you will back. We're tired of you always picking against our Saints & coaches..

What Fools! Get a Life!
Try spending time with your kids instead of letting these losers upset you!

You
You're not real good on picking teams. For a local reporter you got to know the Saints have a past reason for whipping up on the Cowboys. Saints 28 Boys 21`

Are you from Shreveport or someplace that's not in the gulf coast region? You certainly don't fit in at wwl.

Kristian right again
People--this man picked the Giants to beat the Saints and he was right. He will be right again. Also if you want Payton back, you need Dallas to go to the playoffs so Jones sticks with Garret and not hire Sean. WISE UP!!!
12/22/2012 10:53AM
This is not the N if L
This is not the N if L. You pull for your team to win, always. It does not matter how the Cowboys, do. Jerry Jones would make the offer to Sean Payton, regardless. Sean Payton will decide his own fate. Did you say, Wise UP or is that Rise UP? For me, I am pulling for my team to win.

Do your homework Garrett
I know its Garic... just a dig to start things off right. The last 10 Cowboy games they are 6-4. Of their 6 wins the only team that has a winning record is Cinci. The combined record of teams they beat is 29-41. Their 4 defeats have come from teams with a combined record of 37-19. So they have been annointed the HOT TEAM cuz they beat some easy teams but lost to good teams ??? Saints have had a much tuffer schedule. If you think it is gonna be so close.... go with the OUR TEAM. The WHODAT NATION does not appreciate nor want the negativity.

saints fsn back off your team is 6-8 for a reason your defence sucks
You saints fans are annoying seriously been to a fee saints you guys thank your team is the best team in the world oh wait 1 super bowl win oh wait an 0-4 start to year that the falcons go 4-0 in that time. Seriously shut up. The Steelers how many playoffs have they been to in the 2000 compared to the saints cowboys beat the Steelers who are a very good team ciny who are a very good team. The cowboys ain't no push overs if it wasn't for Roy Williams fumble thanksgiving they beat drew breed on thanksgiving day with Sean Peyton on the side and Jon kitna as the cowboys QB. Another thing when your saints were undefeated who dat beat who at superdome the Dallas cowboys. The cowboys and redskins hottest teams in the NFC right now but Tony romo is ballin right now.

The Cowboys have not been relevant for decades
Until, the Cowboys do anything close to 41 victories from 2009 to 2011 which is about 14 victories a season and the best record in the NFL, you Cowboy fan need to shut up. Your team has been an over hyped mess for decades. Until your owner stops being the GM and want to be, head coach, the Cowboys will be the laughing stock of the league.
12/22/2012 10:02PM
I think I agree with (Kristian right again) @6:47 AM
As much as I hate to say it, maybe if the Saints lost it would help our cause. If the Cowboys make the playoffs it would help Jason Garrett keep his job. But I think that Sean will stay with the Saints. I live in TN now but I've been a Saints fan for 30 years? There's no fan base like the Saints fans. But I think the Saints will win 31 - 26
12/23/2012 8:14AM
Cowgirls will LOSE!
SAINTS 34 GIRLS 21! ;0)
12/23/2012 3:05PM
Garrett why don't you defend yourself on your own article
Why write the article and no response to all of these comments ?? Also the jackoffs that speak out against the saints should find their own teams site. One more comment for the clown that wrote your defense sucks... try to get your mom to help you write your next comment ... it is really hard to understand it with so many errors. Take some classes or something.

Happy Winter Saints
E N J O Y YOU CAN WATCH THE BEST AT ATLANTA.......

Kristian is Wrong Again!!
Kristian, Please check your grammar and spell check your articles. This is the LAST article I will ever read of yours, you are negative, negative, negative. As a Saints Fan since 1974, I refused to wear a bag or refer to MY team as any other than the SAINTS. It is the one team I support no matter what, they are my team. You sir strike me as a fickle fan who only wants to be on board when things look great. I look forward to "Finishing Stronger" and earning a few more Lombardi Trophies. Go write for the Enquirer.

Merry Christmas Kris
From now on I won't take your litter-ture serious. Thanks Saints for another Christmas gift. To the Cowboy fans: I truly hope you win at Washington, not for the fear of losing our coach, but for your coach to keep his job. Jason Garett is a class act IMO.
