Hollywood South follows up record-setting year with more blockbusters

Louisiana shows no sign of letting go of its title as the movie capital. A number of productions are gearing up for the spring and summer in Hollywood South.
That includes some likely blockbusters, says Louisiana Entertainment director Chris Stelly.
"Right now we have pretty big-sized recognizable titles," said Stelly, "Fantastic Four, Jurassic Park, and Terminator are all prepping early to mid-spring shoots."
Fantastic Four, which begins shooting today, stars Michael B. Jordan and Kate Mara. Arnold Schwarzenegger is back as the Terminator, which also stars Game of Thrones's Emilia Clarke.
Also shooting in New Orleans is the prison comedy Get Hard with Will Ferrell, Alison Brie and Kevin Hart.
Stelly says television work also continues to do well for Louisiana -- including the first season of the HBO series True Detective and a potential spinoff of CBS NCIS franchise, set in New Orleans.
Stelly says the TV series are great for business.
"They can be here eight to nine months out of the year, whereas a feature film may be here six months," said Stelly. "It's a longer life-span and that's really good economic benefits in the communities."
