Henderson: "Saints are going to win the Super Bowl"

"The Saints are going to win the Super Bowl," that was the bold prediction Friday from the play-by-play voice of the Saints on WWL, Jim Henderson.

"I don't see anybody stopping these guys," Henderson said of the Saints offense. "With all the weapons that they've got... Last year they had 17 guys on I.R. (injured reserve) at the end of the season. You gotta figure the law of averages is going to make for a more fruitful, productive and healthy year than that. If they can stay healthy offensively I don't know who can stop them."

As for the defense, Henderson said the new coordinator is going to make a big difference. "I think with Greg Williams, you're going to see a lot more pressure, you're going to see a lot more chances being taken and you're going to see a lot more turnovers."

He says the defensive backfield in particular will be vastly improved. "I think the secondary will be a whole lot better."

Henderson says Wide Receiver Marques Colston is going to be a big part of a run to the championship. "Colston, I think, is going to have a huge year. If he stays healthy, the way he looks, I think he is just going to have a gigantic year."

He acknowledges that there are concerns at a couple of positions, including running back. "It's still an unsettled position... That's still an area of concern as it was last year," Henderson said. "I'm still concerned about the defensive tackle position. I think that's kind of thin."

Those issues aside, though, he thinks this is the year. "Put it right there," he said in telling WWL's Deke Bellavia to write it down.  "The Saints are going to win the Super Bowl."
