Geeks live large at Comic Con

It's a big weekend for comic & science fiction fans in the Crescent City, and thousands of them are at the Ernest N. Morial Convention Center to see celebrities and memorabilia. It's the Wizard World New Orleans Comic Con, part of North America's largest pop-culture touring expo.

Fans will mingle with Doctor Who's Matt Smith and Walking Dead's Norman Reedus and Michael Rooker, among many other famous actors old and new that are posing for photos and signing autographs.

The fans are part of the fun too, as a host of costumed comic book, fantasy and sci-fi fans descend on the Convention Center to celebrate what organizers say is the best in pop culture: movies, comics, toys, video gaming, television, gaming, original art, collectibles, contests and more.

Organizers say there's everything from Ghostbuster Proton Pack demos to Mario Kart Tournaments on hand, with plenty of interactive booths and activies for fans of all ages.
