Passaro was shot and seriously injured as he responded to an armed robbery at a local Dollar General store on February 23. The"Rock and Roll Fundraiser" has been announced for Wednesday, April 17, to be held at Generations Hall at 310 Andrew Higgins.
The event will feature Charmaine Neville, The Wise Guys, Kandeeside, The Bucktown Allstars, and Kingsroe. $25.00 tickets will be available starting this Friday at Gulf Coast Bank, (848 Harrison, 201 Carrollton or 200 St. Charles ) or online at www.NOPJF.org. Tickets at the door will be $30.00.
Organizers say all funds generated will go towards Officer Passaro's unpaid medical expenses and loss of income.
$ 25.00 tickets will be available at any NOPD station, at Gulf Coast Bank, (848 Harrison, 201 Carrollton or 200 St. Charles ) or online at www.NOPJF.org (by way of PayPal.)

Checks should be made out to the New Orleans Police and Justice Foundation and in the memo section indicate Officer John Passaro.
At the event, there will also be a raffle of a "NOLA Sports Package" valued at $1,500.00 which includes 4 tickets to an LSU Baseball game, New Orleans Bowl, PGA Golf tournament and a one game personal party in a New Orleans Zephyr's suite. Tickets to this raffle will be 4 for $20.00
