Police say the shooting was reported around 8 p.m. in the 3600 block of Frenchmen Street.
Officers located the victim in his vehicle, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds to his body. He was transported to the hospital where he later died.
Investigators are currently in the process of gathering evidence and information to identify the person(s) responsible in the incident, as well as a motive.
