Equusearch begins searching for missing teacher in City Park

The Houston-based firm Equusearch has begun looking for any sign of missing teacher Terrilynn Monette.

Eqqusearch launched two boats and an underwater sonar system into a City Park Bayou this morning, and will move on to other bodies of water in the area through the day.

Monette has been missing since being seen in the early morning hours at Parlay's Bar in Lakeview.  She is about 5 feet 8 inches tall, weighs 180 pounds and was last seen wearing a green and gray striped shirt with long sleeves and with blue jeans. She was last seen driving a 2012 black two-door Honda Accord with Louisiana license plate WUN494.

Investigators say they do not currently have a suspect or person of interest in the case of Monette.  Her 2012 black Honda Accord is also missing, last spotted in that bar parking lot Saturday morning.

Anyone with information about Monette is asked to contact the New Orleans Police Department, or Crimestoppers at 504-822-1111.

The NOPD tells WWL-TV they have concentrated their search in the area of City Park.

“We're searching City Park because it lies between the nightclub and her apartment and would be her most likely path of travel,” police told WWL-TV.
