WWL NFL Analyst Mike Detillier told us some news this morning no Saints fan wants to hear.
Talking to WWL's morning show host Tommy Tucker, Mike says things don't look good for the Saints post-season hopes.
"It's rare that I'm going to do this...but I really think that the Saints lose out in Atlanta Thursday night, then win every other game the rest of the season."
Mike says a short turnaround after a very physical game, while facing a very motivated Falcons team on the road, does not bode well for the Black and Gold.
Our NFL expert says Atlanta, despite having one of the best records in the league, wants to get the win to fight the perception that they just can't beat the Saints
"It’s much more motivation for Atlanta...It's much more important to Atlanta. I think (the Saints) lose Thursday night, then sweep the rest of the games, and end up 9-7."
9-7 was enough for the Giants last year, but Mike said it's going to be real tough to get in at 9-7 this time around.
"You're going to have to get some help along the way...but like I've said for the last few weeks, this team ends up 9-7, and just comes up short making the playoffs."
