Federal authorities say human trafficking is alive and well in New Orleans and is not just an International problem for places like Eastern Europe and Mexico.
There is now some new help in New Orleans for the victims of abduction and sex slavery and it's called the Eden House in Uptown.
A former child prostitute, who goes by the name of Clemmie, says that kidnappings take place everyday in the U.S. She talked about how at age 12 she was first lured by gifts and then just taken right from her neighborhood.
''They immediately stripped me down from clothes, shot me up with drugs, which I found out was heroin and liquid cocaine,'' said Clemmie.
Clemmie says it got much worse as she was fully indoctrinated.
''Then they start gang raping you, as they call it turning you out, educating you,'' she told WWL's Garland Robinette show.
