A driver crashed a car into a house in Marrero this morning. It went through the front of the home and into the living room.
WWL's Dave Cohen called the woman living in the house to see if everyone was all right. Karen Greene said, "He came straight through my living room. Me and my son, it knocked us to the floor."
She said she and her son were fine, but the driver was still trapped in the car. As she was talking, a plume of smoke came from under the hood of the car. Greene began to scream in fears the house would catch on fire. "It's catching on fire! I gotta get out of here."

Police and fire crews were on the scene and calmed her down as they safely got Greene and her son out of the home.
Fire crews say the driver of the car apparently had a seizure or other medical problem before losing control of the car and crashing through the house. He was taken to the hospital for treatment.
