New Orleans Saints quarterback Drew Brees says everything happens for a reason.
"God puts us in positions to... take advantage of his purpose for us," Brees told WWL's Bob DelGiorno. "I believe that he does have a purpose for us, and it's to finish the season the way that we've aspired to. Obviously that's to win a Super Bowl Championship for this city and this town."
Brees says after what New Orleans has experienced, it is time for the city to enjoy some rewards.
"At times you go through adversity, you go through tough times like the people of New Orleans have, and it happens to make you stronger. It happens to unite you. That's what's happened here in this city and this town and this community," the QB said.
Brees says he believes it is destiny for the Saints to win.
"Hey it's destiny."
Listen to Brees:
"Nothing would mean more than to go down to Miami and win this Super Bowl Championship for this city," Brees added.
Along with coach Sean Payton and players like Reggie Bush, Marques Colston, Jahri Evans, Scott Fujita, Scott Shanle, Roman Harper and others; Brees came to New Orleans for the first season after Hurricane Katrina.
