Big Daddy's Sit 'Em / Start 'Em Week 8 Fantasy Football

SIT 'EM

Tim Tebow: QB, Denver

Last week I told ya to start 'em, but this week Timmy is on my sit list. The Lions have given up the fifth fewest fantasy points to quarterbacks thus far.  Tebow is going to take a ton of sacks thanks to the lack of an o-line and will also be forced into making quite a few bad throws.

Pittsburgh Defense

The Steelers D is ranked first in the league against the pass this year, giving up about 170 passing yards on average per game - with 8 passing touchdowns, but this week they face Tom Terrific and the Pats. Brady along with WR Wes Welker have proved to be unstoppable this season, and this week will be no different.

Sidney Rice: WR, Seattle

Charlie Whitehurst at QB is not the best option for Rice owners. Add to that the fact that Cincinnati's defense is top ten in the league at this stage of the season and will likely limit the passing game of the Sea-hags. This game will not likely be high scoring either, so Rice should be riding the pine for your squad.

Peyton Hillis: RB, Cleveland

The Madden cursed Hillis does not have a favorable matchup against a stout 49ers defense.  No team has allowed fewer fantasy points to opposing running backs this season.

START 'EM

Pierre Thomas: RB, New Orleans

The PT Cruiser had his most productive game of the season on Sunday night, as he racked up 125 total yards in the Saints 62-7 thrashing of the Colts.

Mark Ingram's heel injury leaves his availability for Week 8 in doubt, which could mean additional touches for Thomas against a Rams defense that has given up the third most fantasy points per game to opposing running backs.

D'emarco Murray: RB, Dallas

To call Murray's first start in the NFL a success would be something of an understat'ment, as the rookie from Oklahoma shredded the Rams for a staggering 253 yards on 25 carries last week, including a 91-yard touchdown scamper.
He probably wont top 250 rushing yards again, but has a better than average chance of building on last week's explosion against Philadelphia.  The Eagles have surrendered the second most fantasy points per game to opposing running backs in the league.

A.J. Green: WR, Cincinnati Bengals

This rookie has been a large part of the Bengals surprising 4-2 start, developing a nice rapport with rookie quarterback Andy Dalton and snagging 29 passes for 453 yards and four touchdowns.
Green should have every opportunity to continue his solid first season against a Seattle Seahawks squad that has been decimated by injuries in their secondary and who are the seventh best matchup for opposing fantasy wideouts.

Houston D

Listen up; Texans defense is for real! Even without Mario Williams, they have playmakers everywhere, and it's obvious that coordinator Wade Phillips was their best free agent signing. Coming off a dominating performance against the Titans, I have a lot of confidence in them shutting down a similarly bland offense as they host Jacksonville. We should be looking at a double digit fantasy performance.
