Beyonce added to Essence Fest lineup

Pop star Beyonce will be back in the Mercedes-Benz Superdome this July as a headliner in the Essence Music Festival. 

The singer's "Mrs. Carter Show" World Tour has added a date to perform during the festival, which runs from July 4 to July 7.

Other performers on the lineup already announced include LL Cool J, Brandy, New Edition, Maxwell, and others.
