Another 'breastaurant' is opening and the girls wear even less
Is it the "Hearty made from scratch man food" or the scantily clad waitresses that are the draw for the grand opening of a new restaurant in Houma today?
Twin Peaks Houma is the latest "breastaurant" to open in southeast Louisiana.
This sports restaurant chain is known for its man-cave setting and friendly Twin Peaks Girls. "It's a lodge setting with a lot of stone, timber, taxidermy cabin-type paraphernalia on the wall, so it's a man-themed restaurant," says Director of Operations Kyle Crochet.
The eatery features fireplaces and firepits, the latest brews, video poker machines, about 60 large screen TVs, (inside and outside) and it's also home to more than 100 new Twin Peaks Girls, what the owners call the "concept's signature assets." The outfits says Crochet, "Are very sexy. And that is part of the theme of the restaurant, very beautiful, sexy Twin Peaks girls."
The debate over how sexy is too sexy will continue, with a new Metairie Twin Peaks set to open in the fall in the Clearview Shopping Center, followed by another location on the Westbank, and Crochet says they have hopes of two New Orleans locations.
When asked if Twin Peaks outfits are more risque than other breastaurants, as some people have suggested, he responded, "Honestly it is a sexier look. It's a more up-to-date look" over older breastaurants.
Just how far this trend can go until the breastaurant is considered a strip club is still up for debate.
