A large series of thunderstorms knocked out power to more than 10,000 customers Entergy customers across the Metro New Orleans area.

According to Entergy's outage website, most of the outages are clustered on the Westbank of Jefferson Parish, with other scattered outages throughout the area.

Entergy Spokesman Philip Alison says crews are working to restore power as soon as possible.  "About 13,000 are without power following the storms," Alison said.  "About 10,500 of those in Jefferson, and the rest in Orleans."

Customers who want to report a power outage to Entergy should call 1-800-9-OUTAGE.
