AAA: Prepare for $3.75 gas

Gas prices continue their upward march.  In the last week, it's up more than 12 cents per gallon in the New Orleans area, in the American Automobile Association's daily survey.

According to AAA, gasoline averages more than $3.48 a gallon in New Orleans.  Across Louisiana, it's $3.50 a gallon.

"All indications are those prices are going to continue to climb," said AAA fuel prices analyst Don Redman.

Redman said that other than a 2-month period over the spring, prices have gone up this year more often than down.

"We as consumers haven't received much of a break at all at the gas pump," he said.

AAA is advising motorists to plan for $3.50 to $3.75 a gallon for gas for the rest of the summer.
