Another deep freeze is on tap for Southeast Louisiana into Wednesday morning before a warm up begins.
"A hard freeze warning is in effect from 6pm Tuesday through 9am Wednesday for most of Southeast Louisiana and coastal Mississippi," WWL TV Meteorologist Carl Arredondo said. "Most areas will have below freezing conditions for 14-16 hours."
He says it will be freezing, but not a hard freeze along the coast.
"A freeze warning is in effect from 8pm Tuesday through 8am Wednesday for lower Terrebonne, lower Lafourche, lower Jefferson, lower Plaquemines and lower St. Bernard parishes."
Arredondo expects teens and 20's across the region again for Wednesday morning.
"Lows north of the lake around 18 with a hard freeze. Protect pipes, plants, pets and people. South of the lake around 27 with a moderate to hard freeze. Protect pipes, plants, pets and people."
Highs clime into the 50's Wednesday and 60's Thursday and Friday.
He says by the weekend, it turns wet and warm.
"Cloudy, breezy, and mild with a 70% chance for showers or thunderstorms (Saturday) morning and 40% in the afternoon. Lows around 63. Highs around 72."
